Telehealth consults do incur a gap fee. Medicare will not cover any cost of the consult unless you have been an active patient of Medical HQ within the past 12 months. An active patient is one who has seen a doctor at Medical HQ face to face within 12 months.
Doctors offer full fee private telehealth (with no Medicare rebate) if you have not seen a doctor at Medical HQ within 12 months and are unable to join us face to face for your appointment.
