Billing
- Medical HQ is a private billing practice - bulk billing is not routine.
- Our policy is that we require full payment on the day of the service.
- Patients must give 24 hours notice when cancelling an appointment to avoid cancellation fees.
- Payment in full can be made by cash, cheque, EFTPOS, MasterCard or Visa and through our Tyro Payments system. Medicare rebates can be refunded to your account at the time of payment. Alternatively, you can supply Medicare with your bank details and they will deposit the rebate into your designated bank account within 48 hours.
- Fees are based on the duration and complexity of the consultation.
- Consultations for children under 16 are generally bulk-billed during normal hours on weekdays.
- A gap fee applies to all other patients.
- Some procedures such as removal of lesions, will carry an additional extra fee. Details are available from reception.
- Please note that transfer of notes requests will incur a fee of a minimum of $35 (inclusive of postage and handling).
- Work cover consults, 3rd party consults (i.e. motor vehicle accidents, pre-employment medicals, insurance medicals, travel medicals and certain driving medicals will also carry a private fee.
